2017 GULL LAKE CLASSIC BOAT SHOW

It’s show time! Please mark your calendars for the 2017 Gull Lake Classic Boat Show which will be held on August 26th (weekend before Labor Day) at the Bar Harbor Supper Club with the skippers’ dinner being held on the outside patio of Bar Harbor on the 25th. Again, there will be live music throughout the weekend, free boat rides up and down the channel from Bruce Olson, Director of the Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum, a tasty breakfast Saturday morning for all participants, and everything else to make for another amazing show!

Attached to this letter, you will find a Schedule of Events which outlines the events that will be taking place throughout the weekend. You will also find a Reservation Form. Please fill this information out and return as soon as possible to the indicated address to ensure yourself a slip.

Classic boatThe numbering of the boats will not take place until the day of the show. On Saturday morning after all of the boats are parked and each boat owner has checked in, a staff member will go around and number each slip with the corresponding dock number on your Registration Card. This number will be used for voting purposes. There are a number of boats which will not be judged again this year. If there is a boat that does not have an Eligibility Card placed on the boat, please do not vote for it. Throughout the rest of the day, Dave Geiger, our MC extraordinaire, will be back on stage interviewing our boat owners and providing updates on when skipper and people’s choice ballots are due, etc. The outside bar and patio will be open all day as will the inside restaurant.

To all of our past and first time skippers and sponsors, we would like to genuinely thank you for your support of the “Ninth Annual Gull Lake Classic Boat Show.” We are excited and looking forward to seeing lots of familiar and new faces this August. Let’s have some fun in the sun!

Best wishes for a wonderful boating season and a great show!!
